' Having some business which will make it inconvenient to me to stay at home on Wednesday, I should be glad to have the pleasure of seing you on Thursday if that day is equally convenient to you. If it is not so, any day next week except Friday will suit me, being obliged to go out next Friday. '

' Ld Ch Cavendish presents his compliments to Mr Canton & has sent him the measures of the balls and tubes. He desires Mr Canton will examine the computations as they will be of use during the course f he experiments. '

Letter from Marlborough Street June 23
' Since I saw you I have net with Alpini ten; tamer thearial electricitatis & magnetism, which I suppose is the book you spoke of, at Nourses. I am sorry I did not enquire there wares; but I thought there was so little likelyhood of meeting it there, that I neglected it. I hoep however it is not too late to present your writin to Dr Prielstley for the book. '
