| Description | She is writing for her husband to say that the boxes full of letters and papers have been sent from Largs, although there are some still to be looked through and sent on. There is one envelope of Professor James Thomson's letters, highly prized by his son and daughter, which she has not counted. She asks Larmor if he could do this. There are 160 green books and she is sure that Larmor will despair when he sees them although 'the interest will be unbounded'. There has been much work, but more needs to be done. She sends the box keys and notes the locations of green books and letters within the boxes. Lady Kelvin included packages which may not need to be opened if deemed to be of no use. Mrs. Bottomley wishes they could have been classified more, but they would not have managed to get them to Larmor if they had waited. |
