TitleLetter from J T [James Thomson] Bottomley, Netherhall, Largs, Ayrshire, to Sir Joseph Larmor
CreatorBottomley; James Thomson (1845-1926); Irish physicist
Date16 July 1924
DescriptionHe is sorry not to have answered Larmor's interesting letter about Lord Kelvin's green books and other manuscripts, and their transfer from St. John's to Cambridge University Library. He will bring Larmor's suggestion to the Trustees under the will of the late Lady Kelvin. He agrees with Larmor that Cambridge University Library would be the best place for deposit and comments on their possible use. He cannot recall the arrangement of the Library and wonders if the material might be placed in a case with locked glass doors. Should they offer a case or would the Library provide one?
