| Description | Larnor was good enough to suggest the writing of Brown's enclosure, which he send for Larmor to look over. It needs to be shortened, he believes, and there was such a lot of work for little return. He asks Larmor to 'use your well known scalpel without fear'. Everett has written many notes about the Royal Society affair. Brown wishes he could have shared the burden, but 'I feel like a sort of bride who is being very carefully attended to and done for without the smallest evolution of energy on her part'. Even if he is never elected, he feels pleasure at Larmor's and Everett's efforts and the several distinguished men who signed the statement. Lucy has had influenza, but is now better. His laboratory notes accompany the paper [not present]. |
