TitleLetter from Henry E [Edward] Armstrong, 55 Granville Park, Lewisham, to the Secretaries, the Royal Society
CreatorArmstrong; Henry Edward (1848-1937); British chemist and educationalist
Date23 October 1908
DescriptionExpressing his opinions on the Royal Society's Proceedings. All matters relating to the journal should be taken up by a special committee aimed at making it a useful publication. It appears irregularly and does not have a fixed price per volume. This means that they do not receive the attention they deserve or circulate in a regular way, and those who publish papers do so at consiedrable sacrifice. Armstrong also states that the division into two series, A and B, in journals and in meetings, does not promote the union of the sciences.

With a note in pencil by the Assiatant Secretary, Robert Harrison: 'There is a fixed price - advertised in every number. R.H.'
