TitleLetter from H E [Henry Edward] Armstrong, 55 Granville Park, Lewisham, London, to [Joseph] Larmor
CreatorArmstrong; Henry Edward (1848-1937); British chemist and educationalist
Dateno date
DescriptionHe thanks Larmor for his valuable suggestions as he doubted publication of the complete data. The question at issue is of fundamental importance and since this is the first set of proper experiments, it will give people the opportunity of judging the quality of the results. It may require the results of four experiments over two parts. He describes the case of enzyme action and the importance of getting to the meaning of chirality and imbalance. He notes his son's work in this area and that they are 'driving the nail home' on substances other than enzymes. The present paper deals with ineffectives and they hope to shortly present the effectives and to develop the arguments Larmor has asked for. He has read Willard Gibbs with deep interest and is indebted to Larmor for it.
