TitleLetter from A B [Alfred Barnard] Basset, Chapel Place Mansion, 322 Oxford Street, to [Joseph] Larmor
CreatorBasset; Alfred Barnard (1854-1930); British mathematician
Date24 February 1892
DescriptionThanking Larmor for the manuscript, which he will read with interest. It will go in the right place to counteract the impression produced by Hopkinson's experiments with regard to the evidence in favour of Maxwell's theory. He hopes to be done in about a month's time. He intends to make a resolution at the next meeting of the London Mathematical Society on the consideration of honorary members at the May meeting and asks if Larmor will second it. He thinks that Love is being foolish in not sending copies of his papers to the Royal Society.
