| Description | He has returned from his little voyage. He has no hope of bringing a revolution in old meteorological customs, but he is content with the results. He enjoyed the days when he could leave aside the meteorology and return to his favourite subjects in theoretical physics. He had an interesting conversation with Lorenz in Leiden, and with Planck and others in Berlin. He thinks that the theory of relativity has already had its best time, and the is even more the case with the theory of the elementary units of energy. Such conversations are of great value for scientists in small remote countries. He thinks back with pleasure to his time in Cambridge. |
