Description | [Part of ] Plate 31 of Joseph Fayrer's "Thanatophidia of India..." Side views and sections of four Indian snake skulls with a partial key lettered A-T. The reptile types are: Daboia russelllii [Russell's viper]; Naja tripudians [Indian cobra]; Bungaris fasciatus [banded krait]; and Ptyas mucosus [oriental ratsnake]. The four detail drawings are headed "Plate" but with no final number, title or artist information. The number "5" is pencilled in. |
