Date22 October 1874
Description Is replying to White's letters of 8 and 9 October regarding item number 17 (the shelves). Refers to his previous letter to William Spottiswoode [see MS/755/66] and reiterates that he would have been happy to comply with any requests except for those not within the scope of the contracts. States the estimate for the works was £22 10s. Has received no reply to his letter on the estimate. Assumed White was satisfied with the matter as he heard the work on the shelves had been recently ordered.
