TitleLetter from H[enry] B[rougham] Guppy, 95 Albert Street, Regent's Park, to [Henry Bowman Brady]
Date26 October 1886
DescriptionHas selected typical specimens for Brady's examination and will send them to the Devonshire club. Does not have duplicate specimens of the apparent deep sea clay and manganese nodule which are among his geological specimens in the British Museum. Informs that the chalky coral limestones are at Jermyn Street, with a type set of specimens of the whole collection, and that Brady will probably need to look at all these specimens. Informs that the specimens he has already sent Brady are typical. Has received a letter from John Murray, who is happy Brady will be comparing his own collections with Guppy's. Asks for further information on foraminifera in regards to a paper of his. Asks Brady to consider any specimens Guppy may send him as his own, as he is too glad that his collection will have been so well worked out. Apologises for the dirty condition of the specimens he sent, as he thought it better not to disturb them.
