TitleCopy letter, Martin Folkes to [Charles Lennox, 2nd Duke of Richmond and Duke of Aubigny]
Date2 September 1740
DescriptionProvides a copy of a Latin inscription lately found in his correspondent's neighbourhood. He can make nothing of the last line, because it is so imperfect. Folkes gives some conjectures about the text in relation to Nero's reign and encloses a pedigree of Nero from Augustus. He has not sent back the copy as he supposes that Richmond has the marble. Gives his respects to the Duchess and their whole family.
