Description | Hoped he would have been able to join her party after leaving a club at the Royal Society, but directors from India and Egypt were present. They had many important matters to discuss and he could not get away until after ten o'clock, when there was no longer any time for him to dress and go to her. Is sure she understands the circumstances and jokingly adds that if she is in a forgiving mood that he and his wife hope she will join them for tea on the following Thursday. |
