I was very sorry you did not appear at Ulm, but it was just an unavoidable misfortune. We had an enjoyable time and were very hospitably received. Kapitza also did not appear. He had a sudden illness associated with high blood pressure. He appeared later at Stockholm for the Nobel ceremony and I watched him on television. He was looking rather sick and feeble then. Kapitza had prepared a talk for Ulm and it was circulated among the people who attended. Did you also prepare a talk?
I hope you have quite recovered from your illness. There are several more Einstein celebrations during the coming months. Are you interested in any of them? There is one in Berne, March 12-15 and one in East Berlin, Feb 28-March2. I am afraid they do not pay travel expenses. I shall not go to either of these because they clash with other Einstein celebrations in America. I may go to a celebration in Jerusalem later in March. I shall be going to one in Miami next week.
I hope you are completely well now. With all best wishes.
