DescriptionObelisk was erected by Thothmes III of the eighteenth dynasty, originally located at Heliopolis, and then moved to Alexandria by Augustus Caesar.
Consists of:
- General introduction to the obelisk on text sheet
- Engraving depicts the obelisk, two camels and a derelict tower. Plate sketched by the French architect M Cecile.
