TitleLetter from Frank R Winton to Mrs Schild
Date19/10/1940
DescriptionWritten at University College, Leatherhead, Surrey to Mrs H O Schild, a82 Penrhos Road, Bangor, Caern.

'Dear Mrs Schild

Some time ago I heard from your husband that he had applied for admission to the Pioneers, and I immediately got into touch with Professor A. V. Hill, who is doing what he can about the matter.

I am sorry to say that owing to the preoccupation with affairs consequent to the bombing of University College I have been too busy to write sooner to you or your husband, but I have now written to him to tell him that I urgently want him here for the teaching of Pharmacology, and that I hope that the Pioneers will reject him on that account.

With kind regards

Yours sincerely,

F R Winton'
