TitleLetter from Edward Mellanby, The University, Sheffield, to Ambrose Thomas Stanton
Date14 November 1921
DescriptionMellanby states that he was not responsible for the beriberi content of the Food Factor book, but he would bring the matter to the attention of the Vitamin Committee if Stanton wishes. He has always found it difficult to decide the relative amount of credit for the vitamin story. 'There is a tremendous amount of hank-panky and self-advertising going on nowadays over this work...The pioneer work is being rapidly forgotten & your letter certainly calls forth in my mind a good deal of sympathy'. His own lecture will be very general and he does not think he will refer to any particular study.
