DescriptionNotes on lunar sample experiments, and early entries note processes including lunar sample etching, sieving and crushing, and analysis. Most entries give the lunar sample number, experiment number, date, lunar sample weight and the weight of the sample used. All sample numbers appear to be Apollo mission samples up to Apollo 16.

Colin Pillinger sometimes used Roman numerals for months when writing dates, and does so intermittently in this notebook, alongside using Roman numerals in experiment numbers. .
