DescriptionLaboratory notebook, originally characterised as 'Early Rothamsted Experiments on 2:4-D, 1941-1945' [front cover inscription]. The scentific notebook, on 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid research at the Rothamsted Experimental Station, at Harpenden, Hertfordshire in the United Kingdom, was supplemented by additional manuscripts (mainly letters) and later explanatory material. Photographs include landscape studies of the growth of sugar beet, wheat, barley, clover and grass, following applications of the broad-leaf herbicide.
