DescriptionThis file documents MS Bartlett's work on writing an obituary for his former colleague Egon Sharpe Pearson FRS. It includes letters from Pearson's daughter, from George Barnard, and letters from the Royal Society and Biometrika about publishing arrangements. Also included are annotated biographies of Pearson, handwritten drafts of the obituary.

The file contains some letters from Pearson to Bartlett, dating from 1970s. Pearson writes about his illness and his efforts to 'put on paper a record of my memories in the 1920s' and asking Bartlett's assistance in tracking down some publications. Other letters include Pearson writing about his publication 'Lectures on the History of Statistics', and 'The relation of statistics and computer sciences at University College'.
