DescriptionReferring to his letter of the 15 July [1886] in which Stokes gave the names of the party which will form the expedition almost immediately proceeding to Grenada to observe the total solar eclipse of 29 August, Stokes asks for a letter of introduction to the Captain of the man-of-war that will meet the party at Barbados, to be given to Mr Lockyer, who is in charge of the expedition.
