TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to E P Culverwell
Date20-21 January 1887
DescriptionRix encloses various folios loaned from Culverwell's manuscript on the calculus of variations. He asks if there are figures on the back of sheets 39 and 40 and asks for rectified drawings of all the figures. In a postscript dated the following day Rix notes Culverwell's letter to the Secretaries has just arrived and will be placed before them. The manuscript is not yet in the printer's hands. It came before the Committee of papers yesterday and Rix believes Lord [John William Strutt] Rayleigh is about to write to Culverwell on the subject.
