TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to F S Champion, Noth Gate House, Pavilion, Brighton
Date11 March 1887
DescriptionIn answer to Champion's letter of 27 January [1887] the Officers of the Royal Society have had the matter laid before them privately in the understanding it shall not be mentioned in full Council unless there is some likelihood of an effectual measure being voted. Rix is instructed by the Treasurer, John Evans, to say that nothing can be done until the Officers have fuller information concerning David Carrington's circumstances, including his age and income. If Champion posses this information Rix asks for it as soon as possible.
