TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, Mr George Ellis, 8 Bolton Road, N.W.
Date28 September 1887
DescriptionIn reply to Ellis' letter of 27 September [1887], Rix has submitted the little manuscript book to the Treasurer who declines the purchase. The first half is a verbatim copy of the Royal Society's own minutes and the second half does not concern them. Rix should be glad to know what value Ellis puts on it as he would mention it to the Society of Antiquaries and elsewhere.
