TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Messrs Woodhouse & Rawson
Date19 October 1887
DescriptionRix wrote some months ago to say that the receipted bill for an account which the Royal Society paid 28 November 1886, had never come to hand. Rix does not seem to have received a reply. The bill was for goods supplied to Captain Abney of the Science and Art Department for the 1886 eclipse expedition. The bill was paid by cheque dated 27th November and was for £3-5-0. It is important for Rix to have a voucher for the forthcoming audit, and he therefore begs a duplicate account receipted.
