DescriptionThe President [Lord Kelvin, William Thomson] and Council have the pleasure of informing Huxley that he has been awarded the Darwin Medal for his researches in comparative anatomy and especially for his intimate association with Mr Darwin in relation to the 'Origin of Species'. They hope he may be able to attend the Society's Anniversary Meeting on 30th November to receive the medal in person.
