DescriptionStrutt has the pleasure of informing Frankland that the President [Lord Kelvin, William Thomson] and Council of the Royal Society have awarded Frankland the Copley Medal for his eminent services to theoretical and applied chemistry. They hope he may be able to attend the Society's Anniversary Meeting on 30th November to receive the medal in person.
