|Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to W Hayden, 3 Little London, Chichester
|15 November 1894
|Rix has Hayden's note of yesterday and if he wishes to attend the meeting on 6th December to hear the papers read the necessary permission can no doubt be obtained. If however Hayden's object it to obtain instruction with the view of becoming a candidate, Rix strongly recommends him not to undertake the journey. Rix has always explained that such introductions cannot be furnished. The Society cannot accept any manuscript on loan nor take any part in furthering the candidature of any person whatever.
