| Description | White is forwarding eight plates for [David] Ferrier and [William Aldren] Turner's 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]' paper and the Messrs may proceed with the printing as they think proper. White cannot tell them the precise number required. The edition is 925 but he does not know how many extra copies the authors desire. Draws special attention to the printing of plate one and discusses the size of the 'Phil. Trans.' page which is smaller than the Messrs proof sheets. Asks for a simple proof of the headline for approval. The final numbers for the plates can only be supplied later on. |
