Description[Copy letter marked as 'cancelled' and crossed through] Rix is instructed to hand the accompanying cheque for £50 which by a permissive clause in the trust deed of the Rumford Fund, it is competent for the Council to assign with the medal, and which, by a resolution passed at the last meeting, they have resolved to present this year.
