TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to William Whitaker, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date14 December 1894
DescriptionDr [Michael] Foster wishes Rix to say that the Society is in a difficulty about the international Geological map of Europe. The grant for this map was made to the late Mr Topley but in his report Topley has rendered no account as to how the expenditure stood. Rix wonders if [William] Whitaker can provide any information or tell him to whom he should apply to ascertain the balance. A large case of maps has arrived and money is required for the carriage.
