Title | Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to the Reverend W R Westropp Roberts, Trinity College, Dublin |
Date | 18 March 1895 |
Description | Rix is instructed by Lord Rayleigh [John William Strutt], in answer to Roberts' letter of the 14th, to explain that the statutes of the Society provide that all papers not printed in the 'Transactions [of the Royal Society]' or the 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]' shall be preserved in the Society's archives for future inspection and shall never be lent from the house without order of the Council.
If Roberts wishes to publish his paper elsewhere, there will of course be no objection to his taking a copy and a copyist can be sent to the Society. |
