Date18 March 1895
DescriptionRix is instructed by Lord Rayleigh [John William Strutt], in answer to Roberts' letter of the 14th, to explain that the statutes of the Society provide that all papers not printed in the 'Transactions [of the Royal Society]' or the 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]' shall be preserved in the Society's archives for future inspection and shall never be lent from the house without order of the Council.
