DescriptionReferring to Parkes' letter of 25th October 1894, Rix is instructed by the [Library] Committee to express their regret that they are not able to further increase their gratis list as far as the 'Proceedings' and 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]' are concerned.

Rix is however instructed by the Committee to offer a copy of Dr Lendenfeld's valuable monograph on the Horny Sponges.
