TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to the Librarian, Legislative Library, Victoria, British Columbia
Date18 July 1895
DescriptionThe Committee which considers applications for grants of books has, owing to mounting business, only just been able to meet to consider applications, hence the Librarian's letter from October to Sir A Geikie has until now remained unanswered. The Society regrets that they are not able to further increase their gratis list as far as the 'Proceedings' and 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]' are concerned.

Rix is however instructed by the Committee to send a copy of Dr Lendenfeld's valuable monograph on the Horny Sponges, which will be dispatched in a week or two.
