| Description | With reference to Massey's letters of 24th September and 5th October, Lord Rayleigh [John William Strutt] has only returned to-day. Massey's letters and manuscript were immediately laid before Rayleigh and his Lordship desires Rix to say that he is not prepared to personally go into the matter and that, so far as the Royal Society is concerned, no paper can be brought before it which is not communicated by a Fellow.
Rix is returning the manuscript and drawings by parcel post. |
