TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Sir John Evans, Treasurer, Royal Society
Date8 October 1895
DescriptionAsks to what expense he may go to for illuminating the address to the Institute. For the less important addresses the Society has generally spent £5; the 'Royal' addresses varied from £10 to £17. Asks to know by Thursday at the latest.

Asks if the inclosed invitation card will do [not attached].

Mr White asks for an electric table-lamp and it would certainly be a great convenience. The estimate is about £1 and Rix asks if he may get obtain one.
