DescriptionIn reply to Staggemeier's letter of 20 November, and in continuation of their former correspondence on the subject, Foster reiterates that however advantageous his methods in comparison to ordinary use, it is against the practice of the Royal Society to express an opinion on the merits of individual invention or discovery, such as that which Staggemeier submits.
