Title | Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Lord Rayleigh [John William Strutt], Secretary, Royal Society |
Date | 16 December 1895 |
Description | Rix explains that the difficulty about Captain Ettrick William Creak's paper comes from the fact that there is no evidence that Professor Arthur Rucker's report was copied and sent to Creak. Rayleigh wrote and listed some of the referees' criticisms, and these have been attended to to Rucker's satisfaction, but the suggestion regarding the simplification of the geological map in 10 colours, along with a number of other minor points, have not reached the author and have not been attended to. Rix is uncertain whether this is accidental, but he thought he should consult Rayleigh before proceeding. |
