TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Sir Joseph Fayrer, Fellow of the Royal Society, Falmouth Hotel, Falmouth
Date6 January 1896
DescriptionIn response to Fayrer's note of 3 January, Rix sends a copy of the minutes of Council for 5 December, which include an explanation of the circular note they sent him and which Rix now returns.

He does not have a copy of the Standing Orders, but states that the Sectional Committee he is concerned with would be number 6 "A Physiological Committee for Animal Physiology and Medical Subjects", which will consist of 12 members, of which four will retire each year, and five will form a quorum. It is to be a standing committee to advise the Council in relation to its subjects, and to make suggestions relating to the relevant branches of 'Natural Knowledge'.
