TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Dr Arthur Gamgee, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date11 March 1896
DescriptionRix notes that Gamgee's card about the Donation Fund crossed with his letter, and he incloses the cheque, and asks that the form of receipt be signed and returned. He further states that Gamgee's paper was read on 13 February.

Rix also informs Gamgee that his retirement from office will begin in the middle of April, and sends thanks for his kind enquiries. He reports that his health is not as good as he would wish, but he hopes for an improvement when he is able to get away from town.
