|Title||Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor William Augustus Tilden, Fellow of the Royal Society|
|Date||17 April 1896|
|Description||Rix reports that Dr Hampson wishes to display his apparatus in its latest form, but that he needs a gas compression working up to 120 atmospheres and a receiver, which he fears he cannot get. He has been given one by 'Brin's people', but states that their plant is not portable.|
Rix asks for Tilden's advice on what to do next, and requests that as time is limited, he reply as soon as possible.
