TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Dr James Samuel Risien Russell, 4 Queen Anne Street, Cavendish Square, W.
Date22 May 1896
Description'Dear Sir,
Referring to the circular recently sent to you by Lord Rayleigh informing you that your paper on "The Influence of the Cerebral Cortex on the Larynx" has been voted for the "Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]", I am directed to inform you that the Council does not see its way to publishing more than 14 out of the 24 figures you have sent in. Will you, therefore, kindly make a selection of 14 figures to be embodied in the text? I send the illustrations for that purpose, and shall be glad to hear of their safe receipt.
I am, faithfully yours,
Robt Harrison
Asst. Sec. RS. [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'.
