Description | Referring to the copy of the telegram sent to Lister today, from Professor Sophus Lie, Foreign Member of the Society, although his telegram comes from Christiania he is of the University of Leipsic. At present the Society has no Foreign member either in Norway or Sweden. James went to the Royal Geographical Society on receipt of the telegram to find anything he could regarding the celebration of [Fridtjof] Nansen's return in case Lister wished to know, but it is closed. Neither today's nor yesterday's papers contain any reference so far as James knows. |
