| Description | Frankland has the honour to inform Lenard that the President and Council have awarded Lenard and Professor Wilhem Conrad Röntgen a Rumford Medal for their investigations of the phenomena produced outside a highly exhausted vacuum tube through which an electric discharge is taking place.
It is hoped that Lenard may be able to attend the Anniversary Meeting of the Society at 4pm on 30th November to receive the medal in person. |
