TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Dr John Hopkinson, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date8 June 1896
DescriptionHarrison is directed by the Officer sto say that in reply to Hopkinson's note of the 5th, they are exceedingly sorry but by this time the number of invitations issued for the Soiree has become so large that they dare not take the responsibility of acceding to Hopkinson's request, much as they personally would wish to do so. The Officers much regret that they did not know of Hopkinson's wishes a week ago.
