TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Dr John Berry Haycraft, University College, Cardiff
Date[4 February 1897]
DescriptionHarrison, at the instructions of the Secretaries of the Royal Society, is directed to inform Haycraft in reference to his note on 'Luminosity and Photometric Measurements', that before accepting his paper for reading to the Society, they believe that certain points which are likely to appear in the full paper should be included [in the abstract]. They believe he should include the source from which the spectrum was produced; how the whitewashed room was illuminated; was the graduation in the burner designed to keep the quality of the light constant.

He, therefore, returns Haycraft's manuscript to allow him to make the specified changes, and they will then be happy to receive it back.
