Quotes a resolution adopted at the meeting of President's held at the Society last week which states that a fund, to be called the Victoria Research Fund, is to be established and administered by representatives of the various scientific societies, for the encouragement of research in all branches of science.
The President and Council of the Royal Society will have the matter under consideration at their meeting next Thursday, after which an official communication on the subject will be made to several Presidents of the scientific societies. |
