TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Dr John Murray, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date21 December 1896
DescriptionHarrison communicates that at the last meeting of the Royal Society's Council, they resolved to send thanks for Murray's gift of a copy of the "Challenger" Medal. He also requests some details of the medal to be included in the Society's 'Catalogue of Medals', including a correct description, the purpose for which it was struck, by whom it was struck, and how many were struck.

He also apologises that Murray's name has been wrongly printed in 'Proceedings of the Royal Society', which Harrison has attempted to correct by inserting an erratum in the next number, which will be published soon.
