TitleCopy letter from Arthur William Rucker, to George Howard Darwin, [Fellow of the Royal Society]
Date3 May 1897
DescriptionRucker thinks that Tylor may take it that the Society will not refuse a good paper of an antiquarian character provided the subject and treatment are scientific. The paper will not be rejected because it is on hieroglyphs. It is for the referees to say whether the treatment is sufficiently novel to make the paper merit an appearance in the 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]' or the '[Philosophical] Transactions [of the Royal Society]'.
